Young communities... ours are time-poor. Most people are juggling work with child-care. Almost all residents here are young because it's a new build. Big projects won't work because of this. Using an estate-wide Facebook group means though that many positive interactions happen each week that don't take up time. Examples such as supportive comments to a family who lost their cat on the road from people they haven't met before, things for homes being offered for free (e.g. from last week lawnmower, candles, school uniform) etc. (First point)

Second point: new builds tend to have small houses and gardens and no community spaces so physically bringing people together is very challenging. Especially when the only space big enough is taken up by a massive fence and play equipment that could have been sited elsewhere. More responsibility is needed for investing money wisely.
