Making Great Connections at Kingshill House

Kingshill House Art Centre, Dursley,  hosted a fantastic Societies, Groups and Clubs community Fair last Saturday.  People wishing to start new hobbies or connect with others with shared interests were able to spend a few hours in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful historic Georgian Mansion.  We had great fun meeting new people and catching up with old friends.  Jane and I had a perfect opportunity to share all that Barnwood Trust could offer.

We had the chance to discuss the different types of Barnwood Trust grants, the JoyN Social Prescribing Scheme and the support we can provide in our role as Community Builders for Dursley and Cam.

Some of the organisations represented were;  Bellringing,  Boules in Dursley, Carnival Dursley,  Charlottes Tandems,  CVTN,  Down to Earth CIC,  Dursley & Cam Society,  Dursley Birdwatching & Preservation Society,  Dursley Bowls Club,  Dursley Heritage Centre,  Dursley Library, Dursley Lions, Dursley Lionesses,  Dursley Rugby Club, Dursley Running Club, Dursley Welcomes Walkers,  Dursley WI,  GL11 Community Centre, Old Ragged Morris Dancers,  Rotary Club,  SAVED USAP, Severn Freewheelers, Soft Play at The Chantry Centre, Toy Library, Tyndale Archers, Vale Vision, World Jungle.

If you would like more information and contact details for any of the above organisations or have something you would like to start in our community please contact

Looks as though it was a good informative morning. Perhaps when I feel a lot better I might consider to join one of these Groups. One step at a time.
