Independence Trust Mental Health

This is an opportunity for you to access a ‘safe space’ in your community where you can meet and socialise with others with similar life experiences.

At the Open Session you can receive support, develop skills and participate in meaningful activity.

This service is an opportunity for people with lived experience of mental ill health to give and receive support whilst attending or facilitating community based groups and activities.

Peer development opportunities offer activities which support you to increase control over your own wellbeing.

If you would like to set up your own group, activity or project then we can offer you support, training and supervision to help you to achieve this safely.

We encourage groups to become independent within the community and we can help you to build your capacity and confidence in supporting others.

The Bridge Building support service

concentrates on your strengths and explores a range of options and opportunities for getting you involved within your local community.

The sessions are on a 1:1 basis with an assigned worker who will meet with you in the community.

These sessions will include agreeing a plan to support you with your goals and to focus on what is important to you.

The plan will identify areas of interest and we will support you to access these within your local communities.
