Volunteers Organise Fantastic Dursley Carnival Day
Dursley had a colourful carnival last Saturday at an all day event organised and run entirely by volunteers from the local community. Visitors to Dursley said the town had a seaside atmosphere. The day started in the town centre in the morning followed by a colourful procession leading up onto the Recreation Ground for lots of activities and entertainment including the talent show finals, tug of war finals, circus school, under 4s softplay, arts and crafts, classic cars, super bikes, stalls,inflatables. There was live music and Bruno Mars and Olly Murs tribute acts in the evening.

The Hummingbird Cafe team with a happy customer. Angela from The Secret Garden and Mark from The Chantry Centre were there to share all the exciting activities happening at the Long Street Venue. The Lost; Jacob,Matt, Stanley, Ewan and Paddy, played in the morning to a dancing crowd. Cheltenham Pipers lead the parade.
Dursley Walking Festival followed Dursley Mayor, Cllr Neil Grecian.
